Well, we did it. We survived the “Winter that Wasn’t.” Aside from that one week in January when it hurt to breathe outside, our winter was suspiciously polite.
But don’t let that lull you into a false sense of security when it comes to keeping your workplace clean. The construction barrels have migrated back to their natural habitat on Minnesota Avenue, which is a sure sign of spring. Actually, it’s a sign of three consecutive months of “The In-Between,” where it’s 85 degrees today and 45 degrees tomorrow.
Here are a few things to consider for the workplace:
Mud never sleeps.
Usually, the ground freezes in November and stays that way until April. This year, the ground stayed the consistency of chocolate pudding, so every time your employees walked from the parking lot to the building, they were bringing in mud to make your floors look like a topographical map of the Big Sioux River.
The dry dust phenomenon.
Without a consistent blanket of snow, the wind spent its time kicking up grit, debris, and whatever is left of the gravel from the Veteran’s Parkway project straight into your HVAC system. Yup, your desks are covered in a fine layer of Sioux Falls’ “finest.”
Later is now.
When it’s -75 degrees, we hunker down. When it’s in the 40s and 50s, we get complacent. We think, “Oh, it’s not that bad. I’ll clean the office when spring finally hits.” Well, guess what? Later is now. Let’s get serious about that spring deep-cleaning project.
Kleenrite exists because you have better things to do.
You could spend your time with a bucket and a prayer. Or you could let the pros tackle it. We’ve been keeping Sioux Falls clean for years, and we know exactly where mild winter grime likes to hide.
Window resurrections? We’ve got you. High-traffic floor therapy? Check. Pollen purges? We’ll dust places you forgot existed. A mild winter is no excuse for an unclean office. We’ll get your space looking so good, you’ll actually want to be there. Talk soon. Operators are standing by.
